Temples as places of worship can also be converted to temples of learning and caring. A public awareness session along with screening for cervical cancer was conducted by Dr Sujata Das and her team of young doctors from ISCCP-NARCHI on 16th June, 2019 at Shiv temple, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. There were 52 women who attended the interactive session, of which 29 underwent screening. This unique idea by temple organisers could be replicated in other places of worship.
