Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Department of Community Medicine UCMS and GTBH organised a cervical cancer awareness program at Dharamshila Block, GTBH to commemorate Cervical Cancer Awareness month 2026. This activity was done in collaboration with Indian Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and AOGD Oncology Committee.

Dr.Bindiya Gupta (Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology) and Dr Aparna Kapoor (Chief Medical Officer- NFSG) delivered comprehensive health talks on cervical cancer.

A skit presented by postgraduate students and interns from the Department of Community Medicine effectively conveyed the importance of cervical cancer screening and prevention. 60 women underwent cervical cancer screening through Pap smear. Pamphlets were distributed to promote awareness about cervical cancer, its prevention, recognition, and treatment.

The skit and health talk sessions were followed by an interactive session with females attending the Gynecology OPD and male audience in the waiting area. The session provided a platform for attendees to ask questions and clarify their doubts about cervical cancer.
