ISCCP Certified Colposcopy Training Course

ISCCP conducts Colposcopy training at various recognized centers in India under accredited trainers.

It is preferable to complete the training within 6 months.

It has two components:

  1. Online theory classes at weekly intervals in the scheduled period
  2. Physical training at a specified centre under an accredited trainer with whom the trainee is already registered

The trainee needs to develop competence in cervical screening by various modalities, colposcopy of screen positives, management of pre-invasive lesions and follow up.

The course requires maintaining a logbook of a minimum of 50 cases done under direct and indirect supervision.

Each candidate gets exposure to assist or observe operative procedures like punch biopsy, cryotherapy, LEEP, wedge biopsy and cold knife conization.

At the end of the course, the trainee is assessed through a centralized exit exam.

The exam consists of multiple choice questions and practical examination, including viva.

After the successful completion of the exit exam, the trainee will become ISCCP certified Colposcopist.

Who can Apply for Training

  • Only life-members of ISCCP
  • Those who are not members should pay the life-membership at the time of registration for training.
  • International candidates should get their registration with Medical Council of India before applying.

Training Fee

  • Indian candidates – 15000/-INR + 18% GST (2700/-) + 500/- (Razorpay Handling Charge) + life membership
  • International candidates – 30,000/-INR + 18% GST(5400/-)

Trainer Eligibility Guidelines

Who can apply to be an ISCCP Certified Trainer?

  • The trainer should have 5 yrs experience in performing colposcopy
  • The institute of the trainer should have minimum of one colposcope which should be in the OPD.
  • They should perform a minimum of 50 colposcopies in a month
  • A major and minor OT should be present
  • A Cryotherapy and LEEP unit should be available.
