Maxine Smith, 29, would bleed after sex, experienced pain during intercourse, suffered abdominal discomfort and had irregular periods in the year before her diagnosis.
The mum-of-two claims she made repeated visits to her local doctors over a 12 month period to seek help but was told there was nothing to worry about.
But Maxine luckily moved home in Cheshire and her new GP booked her in for a smear test which revealed she had cancer.
Days later, Maxine was lying on the gynaecologist’s chair staring at a computer monitor which showed a large growth on her cervix, during a hysteroscopy.
