Admission & Qualification Of A Member

Any member holding a DGO, MD, DNB, MRCOG or DRCOG degree or equivalent degree / diploma recognized by the Medical Council of India / equivalent body and practicing or interested in the Sciences of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and/or family welfare shall be eligible to be member of the Association.

Cessation of the Membership

A member shall continue as such till he/she sends in written resignation of his membership to the Honorary Secretary. No subscription fee or part thereof under any circumstances whatsoever would be returned / refunded. A member may at any time resign his membership of the Association by giving 30 days notice in writing to the Honorary Secretary.

Removal

If the conduct of any member is deemed to be prejudicial to the interest of the Association calculcated to bring the medical profession to disrepute or if he is involved in any criminal proceedings and is prosecuted, he / she may be requested to resign from the Association. In the event of the said member refusing to do so, his/her name shall be removed from the register by the General body at a meeting called for the purpose and three fourths of the members voting for his/her removal.

If any ordinary member or Associate Member fails to pay his subscription for a period of one month, his name shall be removed from the roll of members. If such a member desires to rejoin the Association, then he shall clear the amount due to him and pay fresh entrance fee.

Rights and Privileges of Membership

Life members & ordinary members shall have the privilege to

  • take part in scientific and clinical meetings,
  • take part in social functions
  • to receive publications free or at a rate fixed to vote at meetings
  • to hold office on the Executive Committee
  • Other activities of the Society.

Honorary and Associate Members shall not have the right to vote in the meetings and to hold office on the Executive Committee but can participate in the clinical & scientific meeting.
