On the occassion of the International Women’s Day, we held a Cervical Cancer Screening and Vaccination Program at the ZP High School at Dharmarayudupeta village, Ravada Panchayati, Paravada Mandalam today.
All the girls of the 9 & 10 class were vaccinated against human papilloma virus that causes cervical cancer and 6 other cancers. Their mothers were screened for cervical cancer for HPV using the RT PCR test. The program was sponsored by Sri Netteri Kalidas and his wife, Dr. Bhanumathi of Eco Carbon Private Ltd., and the Digumarti Foundation.
Dr. D Leela, Dr. D. Raghunadharao, Dr. Putcha Srinivasula Reddy and Mrs. Kotyada Devi executed the program successfully.
